On March 8, 2007, the brand new Backgammon hall in Exmouth is still looking for new members in order for the Backgammon hall to get off to a good financial start. As of the moment, there are no other Backgammon gaming establishments located in the southwest, where many enthusiastic Backgammon players can meet, test their skills against each other and even exchange styles and tips on how to improve their game.
The Exmouth Backgammon Hall is open to Backgammon players at all levels, as long as they want to meet other Backgammon players on a daily basis. It also holds many different activities, like Backgammon tournaments.
Backgammon has been steadily gaining popularity over the past years. One of the main reasons could be that over the past months, Poker has been the subject of the major crackdown of many governments, especially the US Government. The Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act (UIGEA) has caused the most damage to Poker's profitability.
In a bid to find another enjoyable but "legal" game, a lot of people have shifted their attention to the game of Backgammon. In addition, many Backgammon tournaments are being held right now, such as the recently concluded Million Dollar Backgammon Tournament held in the Bahamas.
