The World Series of Backgammon will move into the mainstream starting November 6th with 8 consecutive weeks of competitive backgammon aired from the Riviera Cup and the Nations Cup.

The 10th Rotterdam Open Backgammon Tournament was held at the Cafe Spiegel in the Netherlands November 10, 2006. Nol Heyerman, a former striker for the Sparta Rotterdam Football Club, emerged as the winner of the event.
